L&#8217;\u00c0rea de Medi Ambient organitzar\u00e0 dues xerrades cada dissabte: una a les 9.45 h i l&#8217;altra a les 11.30 h, durant les quals s&#8217;informar\u00e0 sobre com utilitzar el compostador per obtenir un adob de qualitat. El compostatge \u00e9s un proc\u00e9s natural de descomposici\u00f3 de les restes dels residus org\u00e0nics del qual s&#8217;obt\u00e9 adob per a l&#8217;hort i el jard\u00ed. A casa es poden reciclar i convertir en adob les restes org\u00e0niques que di\u00e0riament s&#8217;originen de la poda i de la neteja de les restes vegetals del jard\u00ed com ara fullaraca, branques, pinyes, mat\u00e8ria seca, aix\u00ed com la mat\u00e8ria verda, \u00e9s a dir, gespa tallada, restes de l&#8217;hort i restes de menjar sobrant dels \u00e0pats diaris: restes de fruita, verdura, closques d&#8217;ou i fruits secs, el marr\u00f3 del caf\u00e8 i les restes de les infusions. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiotordera.cat\/wordpress\/wp-content\/2008\/10\/compostador.mp3\" target=\"_blank\">El regidor de medi ambient, Carles Aulet, assegura que la gent que ha provat el compostatge n&#8217;est\u00e0 molt satisfeta<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Abans de l&#8217;estiu, la Regidoria de Medi Ambient va fer una campanya de promoci\u00f3 del compostatge a totes les llars de Tordera amb hort o jard\u00ed i va obrir el per\u00edode de sol\u00b7licituds per tal que tots els interessats en fer compost aconsegu\u00edssin gratu\u00eftament un compostador. En total, es van interessar en el compostatge m\u00e9s de 300 persones, fet que segons ha informat l&#8217;Ag\u00e8ncia Catalana de Residus ha convertit Tordera en el municipi amb m\u00e9s demanda de Catalunya de compostadors de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica amb una xifra superior als 500 compostadors sol\u00b7licitats des de l&#8217;any 2006.
