En total s&#8217;han tractat amb larvicida m\u00e9s de 2.500 embornals sif\u00f2nics. En aquesta segona fase s&#8217;ha actuat <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.aj-viladecans.es\/files\/1632-563-imatge_petita\/mosquit.jpg?resize=175%2C102\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"102\" \/>a 23 municipis, 4 m\u00e9s que a la primera. Entre els municipis hi ha Tordera, que fa anys que es va detectar la presencia d&#8217; aquest mosquit. Les actuacions amb larvicides impulsades pel Consell Comarcal se centren en l&#8217;espai p\u00fablic i, en concret, en els embornals sif\u00f2nics (aquells que retenen aigua) que s\u00f3n un dels llocs utilitzats habitualment pel mosquit tigre per la posta d&#8217;ous. El larvicida, com el seu nom indica, actua contra les larves impedint que es converteixin en mosquit adult. El bi\u00f2leg, Eduard Monson\u00eds explica que per evitar la r\u00e0pida proliferaci\u00f3 es recomana evitar la posta d&#8217; ous i el creixement de les larves aqu\u00e0tiques.
