Segons les projeccions de l\u2019institut d\u2019estad\u00edstica de Catalunya, el municipi passar\u00e0 dels 18.795 habitants actuals als 20.974 l&#8217;any 2034, fet que suposa un increment del 11,6%. Aquesta tend\u00e8ncia de creixement es correspon amb el que s&#8217;espera a la majoria de municipis catalans, especialment gr\u00e0cies a l&#8217;arribada de nova poblaci\u00f3 migrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tot i aquest augment d&#8217;habitants, el futur demogr\u00e0fic de Tordera estar\u00e0 marcat per un clar envelliment. El 22% de la poblaci\u00f3 tindr\u00e0 m\u00e9s de 65 anys d&#8217;aqu\u00ed a deu anys, mentre que nom\u00e9s el 13,1% tindr\u00e0 entre 0 i 15 anys. Aquest desequilibri generacional reflecteix una tend\u00e8ncia generalitzada a Catalunya, on nou de cada deu municipis preveuen un envelliment progressiu. Aquesta realitat planteja nous reptes per al municipi, tant en mat\u00e8ria de serveis socials com d\u2019educaci\u00f3 i planificaci\u00f3 urbana.
